When I lived in Texas a buddy of mine had a white '75 Eldorado convertible. That thing was so awesome!!!
It was a chick magnet too...

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Anyone here ever have one of these boats? If so did you like it?

We've had a 1959 Chevy Impala convertible in the family since 1985 and on the road since 2000.

It sits in my garage on the lift and I take it out once in a while. In fact, I drove it 10 days ago at the high school homecoming parade - much cooler than the modern BMW, Mustang and Corvette convertibles.

I like it. It's almost 18 feet long and I thin that Caddy would be a bit longer if I'm not mistaken.

In high school I worked in a garage that had a convertible eldorado (front wheel drive) with the 500 cubic inch engine for a loaner. The boss loaned it to the guy who owned the local junkyard and his teenaged son managed to snap a few of the studs on the front. Eek

Flash Cadillac
If you ever went to Albuquerque dragway anytime in the last 40 years you probably saw Flash. Ran 9.7 on just motor.

Courtney Hines the owner had just put in a twin turbo caddy motor, but sadly Courtney passed away last August.

Why would we think that you "Lost it"? Pretty cool ride if you ask me, and so far, no one else here is saying anything negative.

Granted, we all want you to give us a ride, and the size of that boat, we can all ride at the same time!

I had a '65 Coupe Convertible back in the '80s. Black on black. Loved that ride! I was lucky enough to work at a shop wrenching on cars in my teens before the Marines, we did a lot of work to that ride. I know one of the first things was converting the shitty front drum brakes to disc brakes and tightening up the steering. 500ci with a (IIRC) Holly 1250 Carb. That car handled like a dream, not super quick off the line, but it's gonna get you in the long run.

A bit of warning-
I almost went cross-eyed in that beast!
You'll watch the speedometer go >>> and the gas gauge go <<< just as fast!

I truly had no idea there was this much appreciation for caddies/land yachts here. It has been a hell of a pleasant surprise to see how many members here like big huge classic cars. Cool

This yacht is one of the reasons I became a car enthusiast. I have some great memories of riding in one that looked exactly like the 64 New Yorker pictured below.

My best friend in high school got a car that his dad bought him. His dad wanted him to be safe should there ever be an accidents, so the car he got was a 1969 Lincoln Continental! Talk about a boat! Dark blue with black top, suicide doors, etc.

I'm driving around in an 80 Datsun B210 and here's this land yacht he's driving. Of course this was 1982 so a that time it was just another 13 year old car. I bet he wished he still had it today!

Oh, I support the idea that you should buy the Caddy!

Do it!

(Says the guy that impulsively bought a 1970 Olds 442 a couple of years ago).

You won't regret it!

I'd like a 1970s survivor 2 door Caddy.

Get the Caddy and keep it original!
You won't believe the attention we get with the Olds!

This was my first car (1967 Bonneville). My sister and her husband bought it new in '67. When I needed a car to drive to college I bought it and we swapped in a less tired 400 engine. It was a great riding car, very smooth shifting turbo 400 trans. Not the coolest car on the road, but I wouldn't mind having one like it now. Below is a photo I found but it is exactly like the one I had.
