The first shipment of liquified natural gas was just delivered to Poland, ending Russia's monopoly on natural gas to central Europe. More terminals are being built for export.
Also: talk of replacing diesel fuel on ships with LNG. This would be a huge environmental boon; diesel fuel pollution from ships in China trade affects air pollution in California dramatically.
Naturally the Sierra Club is against it.

More Winning! I also love how schizophrenic the "environmental" movement is. Often opposing things that would be better than the status quo, or in some cases like ethanol, promoting things that are a net negative impact over the status quo.

Seems curious. LNG is much friendlier to mother earth than is diesel, hydro-fracking has notable improved the supply of LNG, yet environmentalists are against fracking. I wonder if enviro's have an ulterior motive?? Smile

They are against it because it causes earthquakes, climate change, groundwater contamination, sunspots, autism, gray hair, erectile dysfunction, and the death of honeybees.

Geez man, get with it.

We've got more proven reserves than anyone and we're a net exporter.

It's amazing and great the innovation and new technologies we've brought online for our energy needs. Talk about Making America Great Again!

Totally agree. Our natural resources MUST be considered as an integral part of not only our economy but also our national defense / strategic plan.

Some most likely do have ulterior motives. The rest are just stupid klutzes that follow the latest hot topic within their simple minds.

Officially, we were #4 in '16 and haven't turned in our '17 data yet for natural gas reserves. Just downloaded and sorted the EIA data 5 min ago.

As far as crude oil and condensates, we're officially #11 in reserves.

In both cases, it'll be interesting to see our '17 data after all the great news coming out of Texas.

Oh as far as the earthquakes are concerned: clearly they are releasing pent-up seismic energy in small increments by lubricating the fault plates. If it weren't oil companies doing it someone at Berkeley would be suggesting it be mandate for California.

So the US is now actively interfering with the Russian monopoly on providing natural gas to Europe. How exactly does this play into the Trump is in Putin's pocket narrative?
