If you want to see some future college and MLB stars play up close, the 17uWWBA is going on at East Cobb right now. Some of the best players in the country and its cheap and the access is great.

Thanks for the reminder. I stopped by Wheeler HS this evening and watched a couple of innings. Some really solid baseball. Might try to take the family tomorrow but the last game is scheduled to start at 5. I'd imagine by the end of the day they will be at least an hour behind though.

Did you catch the Canes vs Sandlot game?

That was not my intention. I was just befuddled as to why there were so many haters of college ball. Yellow Jacket answered that question sufficiently. Many hours of my youth were glued to the transistor radio and the White Sox games, so I understand.

Yep. Just a few innings. Canes won 4-2. Sandlot had a big lefty on the mound that was solid.

That was Canes American, a solid squad but the "B" team of the two Canes 17U top teams. The Canes National 17U squad is among the best 2 or 3 teams in the country. They are in the bracket as well and will likely contend for the championship.

Well the Cardinals are 2-0. Is it time for the playoffs yet?

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

found out that the White Sox are keeping Benetti and Stone as Announcers,

so I will keep watching.

I don't consider myself a baseball fan,as
I don't schedule my day around the games.

I was liking the Cubs better , but did not like the announcers as well.

If both teams were on at the same time,
I would opt for the White sox.

MLB's hopes to press ahead with its season following the Marlins outbreak may have just been dashed. As it turns out, the Marlins apparently spread the virus to at least two Phillies personnel, the team admitted Thursday. The infections were detected during Thursday's round of tests, but both a coach and a staff member who were found to be infected had been tested Wednesday, and passed. Neither were experiencing symptoms as of Thursday.

The two cases forced the team to cancel all activity at Citizens Bank Park “until further notice," which will likely lead to more game cancellations for the league.

In another example of how doctors can come to two completely different conclusions based on the same body of evidence, Dr. David Ho, a world renowned infectious disease doctor, told CNBC’s Meg Tirrell that the prospect of sports succeeding without a bubble “are not good” - pointing to “what we are seeing with MLB” as an example. Dr. Ho, as it turns out, is an advisor to the NBA, which is using a bubble.

Others pointed out that the MLB has had a minuscule COVID-19 positivity rate in recent weeks. MLB conducted 42,000 tests with about .03% positive, if one sets aside the Marlins' players.

Even though no players have been found to be positive, the Phillies were not going to play until Saturday at the earliest as they awaited test results. Now, a planned series against the Blue Jays has been postponed, according to Toronto manager Charlie Montoyo.

On Monday MLB announced that 13 members of the Cardinals organization were positive for Covid 19, with seven players and six staff members all being flagged following mandatory testing. As a result the team’s series against the Tigers was cancelled, and there is a tentative plan for the team to resume play on Friday against the Chicago Cubs.

Just have to work through it.

Been great to watch some live baseball. But the Mariners do suck. 11-1 last night at home against the A's Mad
