Anyone know what does old military medal might be? A friend picked it up and a pawn shop. https://share.icloud.com/photo...0e9cIylxN94M_aLTF4QQ ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

It's not a military medal that I've ever encountered. Could be an obscure foreign military medal, but it's most likely a non-military award produced for some organization. Are there no markings on it at all?

Iron Cross(ish), Soviet star. I'd guess something Eastern European, but I couldn't find it. ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.

It’s very Eastern European looking, definitely not American.

The Maltese cross is a motif used on countless military decorations, and some civilian decorations as well. ____________________________________________________ "I am your retribution." - Donald Trump, speech at CPAC, March 4, 2023

That looks like it might have been some sort of "medal" given as an award or prize. There is a blank space on the top bar with room for an inscription. It is vaguely suggestive of a U.S. Army marksmanship medal, but that is not what it is. It does not look like any current U.S. military medal or decoration. I did a Google reverse image search and also Googled "Maltese cross and star." There are many pins and emblems with the Maltese Cross design but the searches came up with nothing that looks like the one in the original post.

It looks civilian to me, and domestic, something that came out of a trophy shop.

Doesn't look like somewhat similar french or russian medals. I think also a civilian organization, fraternity or similar. _________________________ NRA Endowment Member _________________________ "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive.
