Toyo M-55 tires. Anyone running them? Login/Join

2019 Ram 3500 4x4. As soon as the POS Firestones that came on it wear out I will be putting my standard Michelin LTX's on for highway use. Between living out in the middle of nowhere and on a farm I do have a sometime need for better traction.

Typically this means a second set of tires & wheels. If I know I'm going to spend a decent amount of time out in the pastures or if there is snow in the forecast I will swap to a more aggressive tire. Looking around at options I like the heavy duty construction of the M-55's

Is anyone running them and do you have any thoughts about them?

Thanks, Mark

PS: I tow heavy several times a month. Heavy = 10k+

I ran them on my single rear wheel 3500 4x4 and also towed heavy pretty regularly. I was pretty happy with them overall.

My newer truck has 19.5s so I have to run a different type of commercial tire. I was happy enough with the M-55s that I stuck with Toyo, just a different line.

Any thought of using the Michelin LTX A/T2 tire so you don’t have to swap wheels for possible bad weather or terrain.

Granted I do not tow much but these tires have been a treat both on and off road so far.

I know a lot of people who run these tires (and similar) and are very happy with them. There are some differences though.

The Toyo is a commercial duty off road traction tire. It is rated for severe snow/ice. The Michelin is an all season light truck tire. Toyos will be several pounds heavier each when compared to the same size.

I love our Toyo AT3's, LT rated.
Not on a heavy duty truck but on our 2015 Lexus GX460. Fantastic tires and snowflake rated.

I bought a set of these for our SRW F-350 with out truck camper on it for our trip to Alaska this summer. We were at our GVWR and traveled over some pretty rough gravel roads and had zero issues. As stated above they are snow rated and I can recommend them.
