Maglula loader for 9-45
Does anyone have a line on the best deal for these things?
I need a couple. My old arthritic fingers really don't like loading mags anymore!!

Maybe a group buy??

Thanks for the help!!

I looked at a half dozen places and the prices don't vary much, around $33.95 to $34.95

So pick a place and go with it.

I've got a few of these and they work great.

I already have one, but just wanted to add:

Be careful that you don't go cheap and get a counterfeit. Don't use a non-reputable seller. Go with Midway, Brownells or another reputable place.

In no particular order:

Midway USA:

Butler Creek (the company that made maglula) seems to have a next generation which is a little cheaper. I have no experience with these new models.

Hmmmm. Maglula.com lists all the familiar maglula products. Maybe they split off / spun out of Butler Creek?

At the bottom of the page refers you to a big list of retailers (apparently no web store). In fact on the where to buy page they state this explicitly and offer a dealer locator.

https://www.maglula.com/product/uplula/

https://www.maglula.com/wheretobuy/

No great insights on where to but cheap, but can highly recommend. In addition, they have both single stack loaders and single stack inserts for the linked double stack loaders. Your mileage may vary, but I found that the standard double stack loaders work great for double and single stack (1911, P7M8, Shield, etc) with no insert or single stack loader needed. Where they won’t work is where the feed lips are too narrow for the beak (eg 22lr). Never fear though, they have a 22lr version. Smile

They seem expensive at first but once you start using them they become cheap necessities. You'll wonder why you waited so long to get one, guaranteed.

When I first bought a Uplula loader my wife said "why did you spend so much on a loader", then after the first time she used it she said "why did we wait so long to buy one".
At the time we were doing 3 to 4 hand gun matches a month.
Well worth the money.

A big thumbs up for Greg Cote!
I've been a customer of his for about as long as I've been a member here.

For the older folks with arthritic finger thumb joints check out the rest of the Magula line.

I highly recommend the loaders for AR type mags and Uzi-Colt type 9mm mags.

Ah, Butler Creek may have marketed them in the US years ago. I could see Maglula broadening their channels once they got established. When I get back from vacation I’ll have to see if I have one of the cards that came with, or if I just have those for the striplulas and if they make any mention of Butler Creek.

ETA: I’ll bet they were always made by Maglula, but either they were marketed by Butler Creek for a time or I am misremembering (always a possibility).

The only mgazine I can still load by hand is a single stack 1911 in 45 ACP. for everything else it's Maglula to the rescue. I even have some in 22lr. Great invention.

A little googling would seem to indicate that there never was a relationship between Butler Creek and Maglula and Maglula claims that Butler Creek’s lula is a Chinese counterfeit.

ETA: if you can get the real deal Maglula from Greg Cote, look no further, you’re set.

I should have put these on the "way better performance than their price"....

Never seem to wear out & it's worth having more than one if you need to feed more than one pistol.

I have a few, including one I had to buy because I forgot mine, and labeled it with the match as a reminder. Haha.

I’d get it from Greg Cote if you can.
