My pliers collection is a sorry looking hodge podge. I've been looking at Channelock, Klein, and Knipex as replacement brands, but they all look pretty good right out of the gate. I already have Channellock water pumps, but I need diagonals, needle nose, end nippers, host clamp, and a couple others. All three companies make most or all of these. I know the pricing goes from Channelock to Klein to Knipex, but I'm not shopping for price unless it really doesn't matter for one or more types. Which brands do you prefer ? I became a big fan of Knipex products a few years ago when we needed pliers to regularly cut 5/32" weld wire on a 45 degree angle to initiate good arc starts. We tried most every other brand and the Knipex was the only one that consistently and easily cut the wire. They are expensive and sometimes overkill, but they are a good value.

Could have swore I answered this. ROBOGRIPS. Hands down, best pliers I've used. Followed by Knipex 1000 volt products for electrical.
