V-TailI chose Rove, mainly because their tech support is U.S. based (Chicago), they speak English, and respond promptly.

CooksterI second Rove.
Look for their ‘flash’ sales on Amazon if you choose them.

smlsigThis guy does a lot of reviews on dash cams and radar detectors and seems to stay on top of the latest offerings.

TMatsI caught one of those flash sales that cookster spoke of, and bought Rove’s R2-4K Dual camera. Seems pretty good to me.

mrvmaxI’ve been using this one for several years. They have a USB power cord where it stays on all the time.

onegeekBlackBoxMyCar has good choices, including the 24 hour power you’re asking for. And Vortex Radar YouTube has great info and tests.
Any camera that doesn’t use Starvis 2 sensors isn’t the best (unless something better came out in the past few months).

Lineman101This place has harnesses for dash cams. Hope it helps.

BOATTRASH1I got a BlackVue DR 970X - 2CH for my new2500 HD. I got it from Blackboxmycar. They rated the Viofo slightly higher but it was larger with a screen and I did not want that.
Haven’t installed yet as I’m trying to find the proper attachment points in the fuse box.
Don’t really want to drive it until I get the camera set up because it’s insane out there!

sig2392I bought the Viofo A229 Pro from Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CK...t_b_fed_asin_title_3I really wanted a true 4-channel, but the technology with the resolution is not there yet.

onegeekYeah, if you really want 4k you need a separate real 4k camera for every view.
Maybe the next gen or two will up the back camera quality.

lkdr1989Yep, also bought the A229 Pro w/rear camera. Been pretty happy with this setup.

BOATTRASH1A little off subject but I have a prediction.
My new truck has cameras all around. My boss's wife's Escalade has cameras all over.
In a year or 2 I think GM will make where the Escalade cameras record. Maybe a year after that the Denali Yukons and Pickups. then the SLT level pickups will follow....
Can't be that hard.

Tesla does that now. The owner's manual for my LYRIQ references that feature, but I don't have it in mine; there are seven trim levels for this vehicle and I have the lowest level.

SchmelbyI ordered the Rove last night.

dry-flyAs mentioned, the Blackboxmycar site is your friend. Super fast shipping and they have all the top brands. I've used them for years. My go to cameras have either been Viofo, Thinkware or Blackvue. I currently have a Viofo unit with the Starvis 2 sensor. Very good image quality.
