https://www.sfgate.com/news/ar...his-dad-16407683.php San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin awoke on Monday certain of one thing: The fate of his father, David Gilbert - who was sentenced to 75 years to life in prison for his role in a 1981 robbery that left two police officers and a guard dead - was in New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's hands. In the wake of a sexual harassment scandal, it was Cuomo's last day in office, a time when outgoing governors typically grant commutations. Boudin continually refreshed the governor's press page, hoping for news. David Gilbert: David Gilbert (born October 6, 1944) is an American activist who was sentenced in 1983 in Rockland County, New York to a term of 75 years-to-life on three counts of homicide. Gilbert was a founding member of the Columbia University chapter of Students for a Democratic Society and became a member of the Weather Underground, a far-left militant organization.[2] In October 1981, he participated in the armed robbery of a Brink's armored vehicle, along with members of the Black Liberation Army, members of the May 19 Communist Organization, fellow Weather Underground member Kathy Boudin and others. Although he was an unarmed getaway driver, Gilbert was convicted of the murders of two Nyack police officers and a Brinks guard who were killed in the robbery, under New York’s felony murder law.[3] -c1steve

Cuomo just paying it forward trying to lay a bit of groundwork for his future aspirations. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Every man should have several guns. And several dogs, because a man with a cat is a woman. Kurt Schlichter
