Green HighlanderBased on the way the Major was acting after the first shot in turning around to face the audience, it seemed to me that second shot was not in the original script. My read is that the LT Col got pissed at how much it hurt and decided to "share" the experience with the Major. I wish we had a translation of the PA announcer.

kkinaI'm also wondering what the original script was. It almost looked like an "espada y pistola" (sword and pistol) drill, if such a thing exists. He swoops through with the sword, then shoots the Glock 17 in his other hand. Triumphantly swaggers around, only to be shot in the back? Was the second shot in the script?
Read (unconfirmed) that the 9mm round did sever the unfortunate Major's spinal cord. He later died of blood loss at the hospital. Also that this was “equipment failure”, i.e. the bullet went through the plate.

Puckpilot78Pretty distinct ricochet sound on the second shot, nothing on the first one. So that means the bullet went through him and maintained enough velocity to make that sound. Pretty scary with all those people around. Guess they don't use hollow points over there?!
