It's been a minute since we had a post that brought out or attracted the crazies.

Israel, the country and the Jews around the world, is not a complicated idea. No different than any other country that has been scattered by conflict for hundreds of years.

Korea, called Joseon Empire for hundreds of years, is similar. There are hundreds of thousands of Koreans scattered for centuries in Mexico, Poland, Japan, Brazil, Canada, Italy and of course the US. Koreans were also persecuted and had their own atrocities by the Mongolians, Chinese and Japan on a huge scale.

From an East Asian stand point, post Korean war, Korean corporations control vast amounts of global markets. Samsung controls over 22% of Korean GDP, and they make far more products beyond cellphones and TV. Hyundai controls over 40% GDP, and they make far more products than cars. There are dozens of Korean companies y'all have heard of that are truly world leaders. Korea is the 14th largest economy and Israel is 26th.

So, just how is there some Jewish global conspiracy? Pretty sure there isn't some secret Korean Jew cabal, hahahaha.

To the OP's question: as a Korean born, naturalized and adopted son to the greatest country in history, and as an unapologetic Protestant, I am a Zionist.

See, both of my biological parents were murdered by north koreans in front of me, when I was 5, when South Korea was nothing but a filthy mud puddle. I know what it means to be under threat of being bombed out by a country next door.

Just like ROK, Israel always will and should have their own independent country and statehood. That is a Zionist. Therefore, by definition, all South Koreans are Zionist, just with better food and possibly not "Jewish".

My concept of the Zionists come from a news story from long ago. Some Israelis were concerned that the Zionists wanted to remove the dome of the rock and rebuild the Temple. They are Jewish Nationalists and didn’t seem to be accepted by the larger Israeli public.
