I was surprised at how complicated a rabbit hole it became. Our pastor talks about how there are quite a few complicated positions, which are not actually that critical.

I have no idea what the LCMS position is on it. The pastor has never felt the need to bring it up, and I focus more on the aspects of being a good father and husband. He’s been more focused on spreading the concept of discipleship.

I know there’s a good amount of support for the Messianic Jew movement among Traditional Protestant churches - and really strong opposition to it among Jews. (A friend was disowned over it, by secular Jewish parents.)
