Hello all, Yet another hopefully stupid, easily answered question. I got my CT permit in 2011, and left the state in 2013. My permit expired while I was deployed, and after some other circumstances, I wasn't in a position to renew it in 2016. Truthfully, I didn't think much of it until now, when I unexpectedly find myself a CT resident again. I have no idea where my original certificate is, and the gunshop where I took the class does not have a copy. After sitting on hold with the NRA for over an hour, I figured I'd see if there's a better way to contact them or if there is an alternate way to get a copy of that certificate. Unfortunately, my local PD won't accept my military ID or my old CT permit as proof of training, so I need to either get a copy of my old one or shell out the $$$ to retake the course. Good times.... ---------- The first 100 people to make it out alive...get to live.

You would have to find the original instructor as they keep the certificates. I believe the NRA only tracks the instructor certificates and not the students.

Unfortunately like I said the shop that offered the course did not keep those records, so no luck there. Ah well, I'll try the NRA again and if I finally get through I'll see if they can help me. Was just hoping to avoid taking a course I've done twice already and essentially live as a matter of my daily job function, but them's the breaks I guess. ---------- The first 100 people to make it out alive...get to live.
