The back of my property goes into a marsh.

We saw a snapping turtle on our front lawn yesterday. Not common but we see one every few years.

This one went into a mulch pile under a tree and dug a hole. Looks like she laid eggs.

Internet says the eggs will hatch in 55 to 90 days if raccoons don't dig them up and eat them.

so the turtle we saw was the common snapping turtle.

"she" was smaller than the one in the video above.

Will try to post some pics tomorrow
