It kinda makes me wonder whether there was a time during the Cultural Revolution/Red Guard days in the People's Republic of China when the Chinese foresaw Communism crumbling because the most childish ideologues would be in charge. After all, the kids in the Red Guards would've spent all their time developing their capacity to be vicious and arbitrary if they'd managed to make a career out of what they were doing then. Had they managed to rise to power without learning how to do anything else useful, then the system would pretty much have had to fall apart.

Here, the little Red Guard types are actually being groomed to be childish, vicious and arbitrary, and we've now had generations if them. Can you imagine how useless they would be (cough, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, cough, cough) if they ever actually rose to positions of power?
