Trying to finalize our 3 day itinerary.

On some of the NPS webpages, they note that the roads requires 4WD, high clearance, low range vehicles.

What is high clearance? I think I have about 9-11" of clearance (w/ suspension in High mode). Is that considered high? Or are they talking about modified vehicles with 35" wheels and such?

Also, they state that AWD/2WD are not allowed. I have AWD (with a locking center diff). Is this okay? Or are they saying you need 4WD with things like locking rears (and maybe front)? And mostly saying that passenger cars with AWD (and maybe even things like Highlander) are not allowed but trucks with AWD (like 4R Limited, LC, LX, etc) are okay?

K, you can analyze all this till the cow's come for crissakes. Anything from nps or such take with huge grain of salt if at all. Get outa town. Your rig is fine. Other than them tires as I said eariler Razz

9"-11" of ground clearance on your drive way is not 9"-11" out on the two track trail.

especially when you start talking about "airing down"

like o.r.c. said
just get gone , go enjoy , take your time and soak in the other 400 people that are experiencing the adventure

With your time constraints, find some place not far...350 miles max.

You don't have enough time to travel very far and enjoy it.

Wearing yourself out for 3 days, nuh-uh.

Smile Okay, I'm just gonna go for it -- just watch what other vehicles are going down first if I can to get a rough sense. It caught my eye when they said something about many vehicles getting disabled and costing $2000 to tow out. Smile

There will be tons of gravel ish/dirt roads to investigate to cool little out of the way places. Do that and stay way from the wheeler/crawler/rockrigs. Yours isn't one and why tear up a nice rig that will get you where you want to go and back. Have a nice time.
