5:34 on average here according to my CPAP machine. I have it on 100% of the time I’m in bed intending to sleep, so figure on 10-15 minutes to pass out and it’s probably closer to 5:20, give or take.

Nothing regular. I'm 75 and get up most nights to just sit in the living room so as to not disturb my wife. She usually sleeps off and on during every evening. Because I get so little sleep at night, maybe 4 or 5 hours, I catch a few more during the day.

I'm seeing a trend here. You "nearly teenagers" seem to get significantly more sleep. As we get ancient we don't need or get as much sleep. I've learned that there is nothing on TV at night. As I get more senile, I tend to solve problems while lying in bed. I might forget the solution by morning! I notice I'm keying this at 0400 because I'm tired of lying in bed with my eyes open.

I'm 63, when I worked I had a rock solid schedule, in bed around 9pm wake up at 3:30,
never needed an alarm. Now that I'm retired it's haywire. Might go to bed at midnight
and wake up 1 1/2 hours later, watch tv or read for a few hours and go back to sleep
for 3-4 hours. I quit worrying about it as long as I get 5 or 6 hours of sleep per day. An occasional
hour nap in the afternoon.

49. I usually sleep from 9a-1p. This is what years of night shift has done to me. I just signed up for 7 more years of night shift.

7 1/2 to 8 and it may involve 1 trip to pee but not always.

Eating or drinking certain things close to bedtime will screw that up. Sometimes I get bonus sleep time in before bed depending on what we stream on tv at night.

I'm 76 now and usually get to bed somewhere between 9:30 and 10 and am always up by 5:30. I do take a afternoon nap if possible that lasts around 45 minutes.

Getting up in the middle of the night to go pee is something I have dealing with for a good 5-6 years now. For the last 2 years I have been getting up three times a night to pee. I have a cup of coffee after dinner but that is it as far as liquids go. However...that just may change now that I am taking an all natural prostate supplement that a friend recommended to me. After three weeks of taking it, I am now getting up only once to go pee, on occasion I may get up twice. I am pretty damn happy with the results. Knock on wood. Smile

70 years here, and if I get 5 hours in without waking up it's been a good night. 3:00 am alarm clock in my head and once the mind gets rolling, sleep is pretty well gone.

I had my patience tested... I'm negative.

I think my average is around 5 hours. If I go to bed early, I just get up early. I've been trying Taurine and Ashwaganda lately, it seems to be helping as I've been getting a full 7-8 hours straight through but it doesn't work every night. The day goes so much smoother on a full night. I had forgotten how that feels.

62+ here. 7-8 hours unless I have a REALLY early report, then it might only be 5.5-6. Unfortunately about half the time it’s interrupted by waking and having to void my bladder. HOWEVER…just got a new mattress last month and I’m starting to sleep through the night more often now…less turning over, so I don’t wake up.

During the work week I get about 5-6 hours with a sleeping pill and the uncertainty of possibly getting called in early or staying late. On days off, I average one day where I sleep about 12-14 hours and then 8 hours the rest.

I'm 75. We go to bed around 1130 & the dogs get me up at 0700. I usually have to get up once or twice to go to the bathroom, but go right back to sleep.

I'm scaring the hell out of 80 and for the last 9-10 years I have never slept straight through.

I'm up at least 3 times for pee and what-not, but I'm in the bed from 11pm to 7-7:30, so I call it 8 hours.

I'm 71. If I'm lucky, I might get 5 1/2 hours of sleep a night, interrupted by at least three pee breaks.

6-8 hours typically, not including bathroom trips or periods of wakefulness. Sometimes I just wake up and don't feel like sleeping, so I'll play on the computer and/or watch TV until I start feeling sleepy again. This is why some of my posts are in the "'wee' hours."
