USPS padded envelope addressed to me.
Hmmmm that is strange. Figure what the heck and rip it open.
5 brand new Sig 226 phosphate 15 round magazines.
CDNN invoice inside from 2-21-2015

Does that mean I have too many 226 mags that I order some and don't even bother to open the package when I initially ordered them?

I do that all the time. Order something, kids put it in the gun room, I forget.

I’ve got mags and ammo for guns I don’t even own yet or anymore. I’ve got several p225/P6 mags for eventuality I’ll own another one some day.

Regards,

P.

I'm not sure of the answer to your question, but I am sure you don't have too many P226 mags.

Welcome to the club. I've got a room in my house better stocked than most gun stores in Houston for Sig accessories and AR-15 accessories. The reasons are:
  • I sometimes buy something and set it aside for later in the shipping box/package. Then, I forget I have it and buy it again.
  • I moved to Can-eh-duh, and had to store my guns and mags at my Dad's house in the Upper Midwest. Everything else came to Can-eh-duh with me (cleaning supplies, tools, etc). Trying to economically get all of my stuff back under one roof since returning to the States has meant that sometimes I had to buy something I already owned (e.g. more P229 mags) \
  • I took the Sigforum "stack it deep when it's cheap" mantra to heart

I still have my FAL and AK mags - both gone since 1988.

Every time I come across them I reflect on the perfidy of government.

Too many 226 mags not possible, what I think you more likely have is a shortage of 226s.

I shoot service rifle and living in a ban state I was always on the lookout for USGI pre ban magazines. After the 'SAFE' Act passed I started 'discovering' boxes of them tucked away here and there. Kind of sad actually, oh well. Confused
