Progressive opponent Neubauer conceded yesterday when the follow up canvass only changed the initial tally by 200 votes. She lost to conservative candidate Hagedorn by nearly 6000 votes and she could have ordered a recount she'd have had to pay for. She suggested she would to garner more donations from her supporters.

Hagedorn won a seat that was previously liberal in an unexpected win. If he'd have lost the court could have shifted liberal in the next Wisconsin supreme court election on the same ballot as the presidential primary. It is assumed the liberal candidate will have a large turnout advantage since the democrat primary is contested when the republican one likely won't be.

The turnout was large at 27% and the conservative support was fueled by Hagedorn's opponents campaign suggesting that Christians are inherently disqualified. A conservative club college student honored as "Andrew" apparently knocked on 1200 doors in support of Hagedorn.

This unexpected conservative win may block overturning legislation of the previous Scott Walker governorship on issues such as limiting labor unions, voter ID, and voting districts. The Conservative balance on the court is assured until 2023 and probably longer.

I live in Minnesota, and heard lots of ads for Lisa Neubauer...and not once was party support or political leaning mentioned. However, when one ad stated she had the support of both liberals and conservatives, I knew where her political tendencies lay.

It was tough watching the voting results come in the evening of the election. The socialist was ahead early-on and only lost ground late into the night.

It's bad enough that we lost Walker to that socialist lap-dog Evers. (No disrespect to any other dogs intended.)

Yeah, a real bummer having Evers replace Walker. This latest Supreme Court race was a nice respite. The lefty against him comes from a long history of family ties to the democrap party.

We really dodged a bullet with her. Lots of outside $$ was behind her, outspending Hagadorn by a wide amount.

Those in WI may remember the name Chuck Chvala, big lefty from back in the 90’s. He plead guilty to several felonies while in office.

They try to hide the connection, but his wife, Barbara Worcester is high in the Evers staff, Deputy Chief of Staff. It’s a short chain to see where much of this whacko lefty drivel comes from.

The best part is that the liberal Neubaur outspent Hagedorn 5 to 1 in some districts with tons of outside (Eric Holder) money and still lost.

Those of us in Wisconsin also know that the media did everything in their power to keep any negative Neubauer stories from seeing the light of day.

My wife and I early voted on this one and were on vacation when the results came in, we were expecting Neubauer to win so we were shocked to see the results.

Another positive aspect of Hagedorn's win is that the conservatives know they can win in Wisconsin. After Walker's close loss, another loss may have made conservatives wonder if they should even bother to vote. The deranged anti Trumpers are highly motivated and overcoming their turnout is a great accomplishment.


My understanding is that the presidential primary has both parties on the same ballot, as well as the candidates for supreme court seat. Since DT as the incumbent won't really need a vote, republicans can vote havoc on the democrat primary race. The havoc must be well orchestrated to accomplish anything.

Bernie Sanders held an outdoor rally in Madison yesterday, with temps in the 30's and wind gusting near 40. Great conditions to discuss global warming.

From what I saw at the poles, groups of dopers turned out to vote for the M-J referendums. (They were mostly clustered in groups, looking very paranoid.)

They may have never voted before but they were there then, and likely voted lefty.
