I don't expect Grassley to postpone the hearing. Like he said of the other lying bitch's accusation, it has no bearing on Ford's testimony.

Is there even a slight chance that they went a 'bridge too far'?
the 2nd story sure reads like she plagiarized clintons accuser for the same infraction. And now we have a Bill Cosby plagiarised the drug/rape, and lets add 'gang rape' for flare!! and hey, ol' bill is being processed for prison. #sistersunite

When will folk see this for the idiocy and lunacy that it is? That they are just making shit up. WTH?

Anyway, is there a chance that the porn lawyer was just too over the top and it winds up hurting them? How can real journalist choke there own intelligence down and print this stuff?

Sooo, the FBI missed all this stuff in its previous 6 background investigations? The FBI should investigate themselves...

I'm not a Democrat but I just did that this week. My primary card went negative (I've got money on the way--it arrived today) and I fell back on my secondary card. Both are Debit cards, BTW.

re: Flake speech questions posted somewhere above:

I saw the last few minutes of his presentation.

Never been a fan of his, but I was frankly rather impressed of his ability to somewhat skillfully identify the monumental issues surrounding this event.

Had I known his speech was more coherent than most of the things I've watched him say, I would have tried to catch his whole speech.

He presented his reasons why he needs to see testimony before making his vote.

I believe Brett Kavanaugh 100 percent but he will need to do better than the he did on the Fox News appearance and I think he will. I think he may have been holding back at that appearance as to not sound too harsh against the accusers but that will not work at the hearing.
Although I agree that a strong presentation is important, the "high tech lynching" would not work--Kavanaugh is the wrong race for that.

Hmmmm, attended ten parties where teens were gang raped; rendered zero aid to her girlfriends in room next door getting raped; after being so stupid to attend these gang rape parties, it finally happens to her, yet she does not calm the police; finally she continues to attend gang rape parties. This all seems very logical. Roll Eyes

I agree, but the accusers are stacking up the "coincidences" - such as the reference to Beach Week not popping up at all until Kavanaugh's 1982 diary was released.

Remember, this isn't a court of law so much as an arena where both sides are competing for political support. The only thing that matters now is whether Kavanaugh or his accusers convince Flake, Collins and/or Murkowski that they're right. And "coincidences" are enough to convince politicians even if they would mean little or nothing in a court of law.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump
Avenatti is a third rate lawyer who is good at making false accusations, like he did on me and like he is now doing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He is just looking for attention and doesn’t want people to look at his past record and relationships - a total low-life!

just observing, Swetnick never claims that Kavanaugh assaulted her. She says she was attacked while Kavanaugh was "present".

Kavanaugh needs to get pissed off angry and be considerably more aggressive in the words he chooses for his denial than he was during his Fox interview. I thought he sounded depressed and somewhat defeated in that interview. There was no good reason for him and his wife to do that. There was no upside to it.

It was a reasonable speech and hard to disagree with the sentiments, but he is trying to taking the high road against an enemy that works feverishly to dig to new lows in order to retain power. The left counts on guys like Flake to avoid confrontations and back down from fights.

It came off to me as self-serving and trying to set himself up as the new McCain - a self-declared voice of reason and fairness amidst the partisans.

Not sure what the point was.

I sneaked a peek at Kavenaugh's 1982 diary.
If those of us who have muddled through life in a disorganized fashion want to see what it takes to be prepared for a high-powered law career, here it is. Includes entries such as "lift weights", "Play tennis with Mom", "Mow the lawn", "Get a haircut", etc. With checkmarks for each thing done.
And this is in high school! Scary!

I have known guys like that. They dont get drunk at parties and attempt to rape girls, get drunk at Yale and rub their sausage on people, and they are not involved in coordinated and planned drugged/ gang rape.

They have a plan, they follow it and they dont take shit from nobody. I watched a kid in 10th grade sit down with his dad and put together a plan to go to the naval academy. He followed the plan. and because of him, I got to go to my first Army / Navy game.

Yes. Flake is completely self-serving.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Avenatti said he wished to share that information “immediately” with the FBI.

They want that FBI investigation. Then Kavanaugh confirmation goes into indefinite hold.

Kavanaugh must be under incredible pressure.

If he does well tomorrow, and Ford still looks very shaky and uncorroborated, that will be a good first step. I hope Grassley's investigators are working over time to look at Swetnick.

We are watching in real time one of the dirtiest character assassinations in politics.

So basically what they are doing is uping the ante with each accusation in an attempt to trigger an FBI investigation to bring his confirmation to a screeching halt.

Roll Eyes I need to stop paying attention to this because my eyeballs are going to cramp up and get stuck in the up position. lol

I think it would serve the Democrats right if one of Kavanaugh's male classmates came forward and said that he was the one doing the misdemeanor sexual misconduct and that he used the name Brett Kavanaugh so no one could trace his activities back to him. Of course he would be so sorry as to how he behaved as a misguided youth.
