I don't so much blame the Democrats-- they are what they are, lying scum-- I blame Grassley and the Republicans for allowing this shit show.
Call the vote!
Three reasons why they can't...
Flake
Collins
Murkowski
It's only going to get worse, not better.
Let Collins and Murkowski face their voters as the two who voted against an eminently qualified, good man.
Flush this shit show.
Call.
The.
Vote.

Oh you won't be disappointed, it's coming. Stormy Daniels Lawyer, Avenatti is saying he has a client that will be coming forward...

Repeat a lie (or baseless accusation) enough times and it will pass for truth especially with the "I saw it on the internet/TV so it must be true" bunch of mindless lemmings who live and die over Facebook and such.

JALLENAs long as the accusers are females, I’m not too upset. After all, that’s what females are for, most of them anyway.
When they roll out that priest who claims Kavanaugh molested him, then we probably ought to reconsider.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown September 23, 2018, 08:25 PM

Which isn't so bad, in that the problem is political rather than legal or technical. The first accuser has played games with the schedule, "negotiating" rules, and what exactly she has to say. Now the second accuser had gaps in her memory because she'd been drinking, couldn't quite see who actually put his penis in her face, and specified that she inadvertently touched the guy's penis in shoving the guy away. We also know - from her - that at that point the incident ended.
IOW, the worst she can really say is that this was a drunken flashing at a college party.
So the question is...when does the bullshit become so transparent that even Flake, Collins and Murkowski begin to feel like they're being insulted, jerked around and publicly played for fools?
I think you have a good point about the being jerked around and they obviously know what the democrats are trying to do. I hope that Grassley and McConnell move to a full senate vote after the Thursday meeting and let the chips fall where they will. Further delays will not help anything.

Balzé HalzéA bona fide borking right before our eyes.
I wonder if the Republican voters in Alabama have come to the realization yet that they were bamboozled over Roy Moore.

wcb6092I am not so sure providing a list of ready on the wing Supreme Court nominees is such a good idea.I bet the fabrications have already been developed for the others.

HuskySigThere needs to be a serious penalty for making false accusations. Public tar and feathering or branding would do. Then we’d be able to identify the village idiots.

braillediverNo need for the 1st one to even testify at this point. They only needed the weeks delay for the second story to come out.

Balzé HalzéAnd surprise, surprise! Feinstein is now calling for Grassley to cancel all hearings until a full investigation is performed after this second bullshit allegation.
Ford was never meant to testify, as we all already knew.

I don't think this new accuser story is going anywhere. White House and McConnell already know about it and it has not changed their opinion on Brett Kavanaugh. This person has a less credible story than Ford with admission of heavy drinking, being drunk, and taking 6 days to collect her memories. I don't know about others but I give about zero credibility to anyone that is drunk. The upside is that McConnell and Grassley have been burned trying to accommodate Ford and they aren't going to let that happen again and they probably feel Ford's accusation is even less credible now. I expect they are going to move for full senate vote after Thursday's hearing.

RHINOWSOAt times like this, be glad that Trump is POTUS and we have Gorsich on the bench.
It could be Hillary, Garland in for Scalia, and another liberal leftist fuck.
The game is far from over. We are wrong if we think the other side is just going to roll over and take it. They have shown they have zero shame.
And we still have POTUS, the House and the Senate. Hopefully McConnell acts like it.
