Right now, that race is Manchin +8, but Manchin knows it will tighten to within the margin of error if he votes against Kavanaugh.
Nevertheless, he would probably vote with the Dems if it made a difference. He's not our biggest problem in Congress, but it would still be better if the people of W. Va. would defeat him.

a1abdjEverybody jumps up and down and demands instant satisfaction. Yet if you pay close attention you'll see that most of these drawn out issues play out to our favor.
We see brighter lights on more cockroaches. Sometimes giving people more rope will result in a more prominent neck snapping at the bottom. Let's not deny these types the opportunities to do themselves in.

sdyThe DEMs on the Senate Judiciary Comm sent a memo to Grassley on 3 Oct 2018. They were complaining that Grassley had said that there was not a whiff of any sexual behavior or alcohol abuse issues in the 6 prior FBI reports on Brett Kavanaugh.
The letter is BS. But the last 2 sentences are worth a laugh. The DEMs end the ltr with:
"There has long been a tradition of bipartisan cooperation regarding the handling of confidential background information on judicial nominees. We look forward to working with you to restore this bipartisan tradition."
For all those who watched Feinstein's 11th hour dirty trick, that has to bring a WTF moment.

I posted the same thought last week, to paraphrase Trump, it was a blessing in disguise, telling everyone "sure, let's have the investigation" knowing full well that people caught in the vortex were gonna swirl down the drain.
And this gives Trump an awful lot of material to work with on the campaign trail leading up to November.

HRKThe delay may have worked to stem off the latest D delay tactic, and now it's time to end this.
Perhaps part of the screenplay is to keep the nomination open and in play allowing more absurd claims to surface from the D, more cries from the left for something to hurt BK and upset the process from fair to farce, resulting in a negative impact to the D in the election.
You keep running it out as long as you can, then vote him in at the last minute, heck I believe they can still vote him in after the election even if the D retake the senate as they don't seat until Jan.
The more they protest over stupid stuff the more the D look lunatic...
Still, end it, vote him in.
