CHICAGO — A man tried to bring thousands of Viagra tablets from India through a Chicago airport.
Customs officers at Chicago O’Hare International Airport found 3,200 pills inside his suitcase. The pills weighed nine pounds and were worth more than $96,000.
When the traveler was asked why he was in possession of the pills he said they were for his friends and were considered over the counter medication in India.
Officials said prescription medications manufactured in non-regulated foreign companies often contain dangerous contaminants or ineffective compounds.
The latest scandal to hit the federal air marshal program is being nicknamed “bonergate,” and it involves around 20 air marshals in the Dallas field office.
A secretive two year investigation has revealed that air marshals have been purchasing viagra abroad, where it’s often significantly cheaper than in the US, and then reselling it to colleagues in the US.

We lived in Mexico for about a year and generic Viagra was available for a tiny fraction of what it costs in the US. Also available from Canadian Pharmacies in the US. . . . . so they tell me.
