Maine - Disappointing, but not surprising.

I pretty much assumed that Mills would keep her job as LePage is like Trump in that he can't (or won't) control his outbursts.

I did harbor a forlorn hope that Golden would be sent home, but again his opponent (Poliquin) is about as likeable as a porcupine.

I'll be a tiny broken record popping into these threads with this reminder. -- Entire populations of human minds are being influenced by AI powered social media platforms with spectacular effect. To be clear, this includes YouTube, for all of those that don't think they use this technology. Those at the controls of these weapons (domestic or foreign) will continue to have great success. Mass media was always an effective weapon in this regard, but it is the stone age compared to the impact of web-based mediums.

While it sickens me to say this, but I see absolutely no relief, no escape, from that present reality.

Half the population is truly stupid and are being told we are stupid for wanting liberty instead of third world ghetto.

I agree, Georgia results make no sense to me either.

Exactly and it was crammed down everyone's throats anytime you watched or heard a Democrat.
They used fear, name calling and every play in the book to get what they wanted and most people it seems took the bait.
Change is scary to most and they'd rather just sit back and go with what they know and are used to.
I said it repeatedly on other sites that you should never underestimate the stupidity of the average American voter.

Oh, what's this? The Democratic Donor Money Incinerator actually had the grace to concede her loss? Well, now wait a minute there, Stace- You never conceded the 2018 election. If you're so sure that whitey pulled a fast one on you in 2018, why would you concede this time around? I mean, you're the actual governor of Georgia, right? And have been for 4 years. Right?

Fucking fraud. You're done. Just like Beta err Beto, you're a perpetual loser ass clown. No more media darling, darling. No more stacks of filthy commie cash.

As for the rest of it- In 2020 I learned my lesson about making election predictions. While I hoped for this 'red wave' I left the bold predictions to others.

Fetterman wining, I guess the anti-Trump/MAGA vote message is still working. Like Biden the candidate was an obvious dud but still won.

Herschel Walker is a dawg shit (pun intended) candidate. Suburban people (especially women) are fairly independent and will swing left on many social issues or will tend to smarter, more educated people. And Trump's backing of Herschel hurt him in the general.

Herschel Walker hurt Herschel Walker. His entire campaign was "I'm Herschel Walker".

Warnock's campaign was "He threatened to kill is wife and family. I'm not Herschel Walker".

This bears repeating.

I hate the word "corrupt", as it has become the new "racist". However, democrats have undoubtedly corrupted the election process in this country. Whether it is outright cheating, or the fact that we no longer have an election day, but rather an election season with months of voting being allowed by mail, our voting process is irreparably broken.

There is no way anyone will convince me that the majority of Pennsylvanians want a functional retard as their United States Senator. Like Oz or not, and I don't, he is at least an intelligent rational man capable of serving. His opponent doesn't know where he is, and he won? Nope.

You cannot convince me that a majority of people (or even close to that) in this country want what we now have: Out of control violent crime, out of control inflation, out of control spending, out of control energy costs, our national border being controlled by drug cartels, etc.... No, it is not possible.

We cannot vote our way out of this. Obviously.

We have been gaining a lot of NY'ers and NJ'ians in the past few years, more than usual.

But I think PA is pretty much gone solid blue now.

It's hard to imagine people voting en-masse FOR widespread violent crime, an unchequed border invasion ripe w/ human smuggling & narco-trafficking, and massive MASSIVE inflation...I guess it doesn't hurt quite enough yet! Roll Eyes

I'd be happy if we end up with handful majorities in both Houses of Congress (just enough to overcome the traitorous RINOs inside the wire), but it appears the 'Enemies Domestic' remain...

Abbott beat O'Rourke by a decent margin of 11 perecentage points, same with Paxton for AG. And we gained a seat in the state senate and a few in the house.

But the disturbing thing about our election here is that only 8 million Texans voted in this election out of 16 million registered voters. 8 million registered voters stayed home in this extremely important cycle.

Fetterman wins the Senate seat for PA.

Understanding what's in a bill that's up for a vote evidently isn't necessary. Nor is being able to speak coherently, or comprehend what everyone around you is saying. All you have to do is vote Yes or No, when your handlers tell you. He'll be a perfect Dem senator.

NY'ers and NJ'ians may have been moving in, but Pennsylvania has also been bleeding a lot of republican voters in the last few years who have been getting out. A double whammy. After yesterday's result, I see a lot more republican voters getting out in the next few years. Pennsylvania is in trouble.

Well, perhaps not getting a resounding rejection of the lying, decrepit pedophile will give him the impetus to run in 2024, in which case DeSantis will trounce him.

And over 3 million PA voters stayed home out of 8.5 million.

How many were Republicans who basically gave up on the election process because of their states participation in the 2020 fraud??

For a while now we've been talking about getting out of Bucks County, heading towards south central PA, get some property. A few months ago we started talking about possibly leaving PA altogether. No point in staying in a state where they hate you.

As predicted Michigan remains behind enemy lines. Unbelievable as Whitmer is pretty much universally hater in this state after her covid antics.
