That XKE is gorgeous. I've always wanted one knowing I'd never be able to afford one.

Funny story. I've loved the Lambo Gallardo forever. Finally got a chance a couple years ago to sit in one the same color as the one in your first pic. Long story short, they are not designed for 6'3" 220 pound people. I felt like a sardine in a can and had to eventually roll out onto the pavement like a beached whale. Smile

Maybe if he doesn't turn on the headlamps, it won't let all of the smoke out.

Way back when I owned a '63 XKE Jag, it was my only car and had to go everyday......Old Jags don't like to go everyday!! I wish that I had it now as a pretty "Sunday driver".

Beautiful XKE!

AIR, the 3.8l '63 XKE's were advertised as 160 MPH for $6000. Factory air was not an option.

Think the 160 MPH rear end ratio was 2.88. A fat boy on a bicycle (or more likely, a housewife in a V-8 station wagon full of kids and groceries) could outrun these Jags from stoplight to stoplight!

Yeah, the factory advertised 0 to 60 in 5.9 sec.
But, those cars had a 3.54(?) rear gear and a much lower top end of 131 MPH.
