| Lake Ontario is elliptical, 193 x 53 miles, and 7,340 square miles in area. Daughter has her boat in Kingston again this year. Next visit, Canadian Thanksgiving, October 14...

Erie doesn't look that little. Of course, looks can be deceiving. I've looked at the Atlantic from beaches on the east coast, and the Pacific from beaches in California. The Atlantic looked every bit as big as the Pacific, even though somebody told me that the Pacific is much bigger.
