This whole thing is stupid. He didn't choke him to death. I can hold my breath longer than the entire encounter took, and I smoke cigarettes. The hold didn't even knock him out, and it lasted 15-20 seconds just to take him to the ground. Just because the hold is not allowed doesn't mean it killed the - out of shape, overweight dude with health problems. Way easier to fight in court than the sidewalk, also much higher chance of winning and/or living. Mr. Garner should have gone that route. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

His problem is he was found to be less than honest during his interviews with investigators.

According to the department disciplinary judge (political appointee). If the State DA or Obummer's Just Us Department had a whiff that the officer was less than honest in any statement, he would have been charged with that.

I still cannot figure out how he could be fired 5 years later. Especially since he was assigned an admin desk job. Did the investigation truly take all this time?

Bingo. Lesson: even if you are right, you will be thrown to the wolves to keep the "business" clean.... Takeaway: even more cops will dial it back and only answer calls and not be proactive, because even if you are right, they will throw you to the wolves..... And people wondered WHY NYPD Officers just walked away after being doused with water. I can guarantee that every officer knew what the Commissioner would do after the disciplinary judge's decision. Police work is now about keeping your job, not doing it.
