Disability, bad back carry suggestions please? Updated to include pistols.
My disability does not require a wheelchair, cane, etc. Just not as nimble as the good old days. My situational awareness I think is on point. We live in a very safe low to zero crime. Mostly stealing from sheds by kids etc. When I leave my comfort zone I typically drop my P365X in my pocket. Not optimal as I wear basketball or gym sweats. I don't wear a belt ever, well unless if have to wear slacks or a suit which doesn't happen but a time or two a year. I wear short year round. I am a big guy 6'3" 300lbs with big hands. I tried the Ruger LCP MAX ..... To small a I feel out gunned with the .380 especially in winter wear people wear heavier clothes. Any thoughts? No kydex as it scratches my guns and stabs into me no matter it's placement. Also moving wife in wheelchair (temporarily we hope). I have shopped many holsters, nemesis, sticky, etc. Pocket is heavy for my attire. Any thoughts on the JM Tactical line? Real world. Thanks in advance Friends. JohnThis message has been edited. I most frequently carry in a fanny pack these days. It is very non-tactical looking. I put a national park patch on my previous fanny pack to look even less tactical.
I find it quite comfortable and convenient. I do not wear it while driving, which is suboptimal but a carjacking is extremely unlikely here so I make the compromise. It can be worn while driving but it takes some adjusting so it is easier to just take it off and stow it while driving.

Shoulder rig for your 365 might work.

My wife and I both use SafePackers. A .357 revolver in hers, and a P245 in mine.

+1 I mostly carry IWB w/ a gun belt but there are times I do some work for a family member while wearing string tie shorts. While working I'll have it around my waist and while driving or stopping in a store I sling across my chest. I got mine from LAPG.

Thank you all, Checked my gun stuff box and forgot that I had a Desantis Fanny pack that I carried my Colt Gold Cup Commander its was the gun along with a 6" Colt nickel Python. Made a pretty penny back but now wish I had those Colts. Especially the Gold Cup Commander (very few made) when one pops on GB I almost cry that used are six and seven times what I paid. Dealer had no idea what he was selling, buyer (me) had no idea what I was buying. Oh'well that is the Pony that got away. Again many thanks. John.

I have had to have both of my hips replaced for years, and the only way I could carry without pain was using "thunderwear" I live in SW. Florida and shoulder holsters are not practical for me. I also carry a 365 now, but for years carried a Sig P220.

A) What is your budget?
B) Airweight J frames and 148 gr wadcutters work well with the standard fixed sights, have very little recoil, adequate penetration, and are low cost enough to practice and carry.
C) This is far from ideal - and I can have some severe hand issues - but I have an airweight 22LR - there are some flat tip loads which have OK penetration, but unless I’m having a very bad day, the 38 is OK.
D) If the size is OK, and the vibration is OK - the FN 5.7 is very light.
E) Try not wearing a belt. I either no longer wear one, or wear very soft supple ones. Bad for carry but much better on my back.

They do make shorts that are as comfortable as gym shorts that have belt loops. There’s a thousand different options from gym shorts to a suit. I wear shorts almost year round too, wore a pair yesterday with a belt and will wear them again today. “Belt” doesn’t HAVE to mean stiff as hell, thicker than your holster can fit on and “tactical”. My daily carry belt is as likely to be a cheapo Costco belt or an Amish leather belt. My IWB holster stays put. I prefer a IWB holster made of leather. Currently using that very option from Galco for my G26.

I agree. It's not flattering or the "in thing" but it gets the job done and allows you the option to carry a firearm with some flexibility.

Hey all, Thanks for all of the feedback thus far. I tried using my Desantis waist bag. I wore it over my left shoulder as I am right handed. I felt deserving of the " SigForum " party cake. So the cross body was not for me. I tried it around my waist in home and there was no way I would wear it outside. I guess I am vain and OK with that. So with that out of the way, I may go in a different direction. I was thinking about the new Beretta Tomcat 30X. I called my toy store to inquire on said pistol and she giggled. Side note she loves Beretta firearms. Enough so that she always asking me to sell her one of my Billenniums. I love shooting my 84F. I have DT10 trap gun that smokes the clay birds like it's magic. My dealer said that she will not stock the New Tomcat and informed me of a few of the known flaws. 1. galling on both sides at the rear of aluminum frame, 2.the barrel, slide and frame are aluminum. The anodizing on the barrel getting spots (not pitting) at least the barrel is chrome lined. So, I want to look into a pistol that really fits in the pocket. I do wear gym/basketball shorts all the time and that's not gonna change in this lifetime. Not a revolver. Before I purchased my P365X, which I love but it does print in a nemesis big-time. I bought a Ruger LCP MAX. I could not shoot a group remotely @ 15ish feet and trigger pinched occasionally. I traded towards my P365X. Sorry for being so wordy. Any suggestions on what pistols, current production 9mm or .380 ?
Thank you friends, John

I second the safepacker I carry in a holster most of the time but if I’m doing outdoor work, working a k9, etc, I use the safepacker. It’s so quick to put on, has space for a spare magazine, and they make so many sizes for virtually any pistol you could want. Been using for 10+ years.

I use the SmartCarry holsters when exercising (running 2x per week, walking 4-5x per week). They really make it easy to carry, spreading the weight all around the hips. Takes a while to get used to, but really is an effective way to carry. Worth a look. https://smartcarry.com/

I’ve got back issues. Pocket carry a 365 or j frame or appendix carry a g43x or g19 without issue.
They do make shorts that are as comfortable as gym shorts that have belt loops.
Where did you find these? Sounds like what I might want.

^^^ This was going to be my suggestion: Dress differently if you want to carry. I use a Mission belt, either full grain leather or nylon (canvas seemed to be to light). https://missionbelt.com/collec...QMKGEj8aAlvMEALw_wcB
If you use a fanny pack, stay away from black and other tactical colors as they scream gun.
