Yell Co. Deputy KIA
A Yell County Deputy has been killed along with 2 others. Suspect barricaded in home. State police on the scene along with county officers. Deputy's name not released as yet pending notification of next of kin.

Yell County's only a couple hours southeast of me.

The family has been notified. The Deputy that was killed is Lieutenant Kevin Mainhart.

He's been in LE for over 25 years. He served for over 20 years as a police officer in West Memphis (one of the highest crime areas in Arkansas), retired from WMPD, then joined the Yell County Sheriff's Office about 5 years ago.
