Complete nonsense to separate you from your money. During my bout with cancer they kept pushing for a dna/genetics test. I said no thanks. Eventually they wore me down and I agreed, my end was like 300 bucks. When the report arrived it was so chock full of what ifs and maybes and in the futures, crazy.

Not a single piece of actionable or even useful data. I can’t imagine it’s better for a dog.

This is sucker money territory.

Here, I’ll do you dog for free. He might have underlying genetic health issues. Maybe not. He is part pit bull, part lab, part terrier. Maybe a little schnauzer.

I would argue that DNA testing services is not about the service fees. The business model is predicated upon data collection and data sales. That’s what peeps be paying for and never even knew it.

Well since the govt already took my dna during my military days, that privacy ship has sailed. I’m sure the business model is selling dna information as well that’s why I think it’s deep into sucker territory. I cut myself some slack because during chemo/rad/chemo I wasn’t thinking straight and they pushed it hard like it could be meaningful. Alas, it was not. For dogs? This is just stupid burning money territory.

Theranos for your dog.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."
