I also loved the series as a kid….seeing an occasional episode now, well, it wasn’t meant to be Shakespeare in Space, now was it?
Everybody on the show WAS upstaged by the robot!

There have been some hilarious references and parodies of Lost in Space over the years- Family Guy and the Simpsons come to mind.
