Lots of wealthy individuals don't own private jets. But they do own corporations set up specifically to own private jets so as to shield their personal finances from liability. Those corporations frequently rent out the jets under any number of schemes as charter flights.

Even if this douche does not have any kind of ownership in aircraft, he certainly makes frequent use of private jets.
Yes, the follow up question should have been “did you travel here in a jet that you don’t own?”

John Kerry shows how climate hysteria forces you to deny reality

by Zachary Faria, Commentary Writer |
July 14, 2023 05:58 PM

Special climate envoy John Kerry has had his brain so thoroughly broken by climate change hysteria that he is in complete denial of the world around him.

Kerry refused to characterize Chinese dictator Xi Jinping as a dictator, instead saying that he doesn't think “we ought to get tangled up in labels and names.” He has repeatedly downplayed and dismissed concerns about China’s human rights record, including the country’s genocide of Uyghur Muslims, and said that his climate agenda should take priority.

On top of this, he continues to think that China is a trustworthy partner on climate change. While China’s carbon emissions continue to soar, Kerry is content only with the Chinese Communist Party’s promises that they care about this issue that they clearly do not care about. Kerry said he would “rather have those words than not” when it comes to China’s empty promises.

And then, of course, there is Kerry’s own personal hypocrisies that he now pretends never existed. He has repeatedly defended global elites jetting around the world for useless climate conferences on their private jets because they “buy offsets” and are “working harder than most people I know.” Kerry had his own horse in the race: He is one of those global elites that has been using a private jet for his own leisure. He even defended his own conduct because it’s the “only choice for somebody like me.”

Now, Kerry thinks he can just dump the blame on his wife and pretend he never partook. He asserted that “I, personally, have never owned a private jet,” instead placing the ownership (and blame) on his wife. When asked if he had flown on one since taking the job as President Joe Biden’s climate change canary, he could only muster a nondenial of “possibly once.”

Like most climate hysterics, Kerry has allowed his reality to be completely warped by the climate fearmongering he has promoted. He thinks China can be trusted at its word and that we should therefore ignore the country’s human rights abuses. He thinks that this is a crisis but the emissions from private jets are fine if you just pay extra money for them. He even thinks his own history of private jet use is OK because he didn’t technically own the jet he was using and defending.

The climate cult is nothing if not delusional, a collection of do-nothing activists, constantly changing doomsday predictions, and elitist hypocrites like Kerry. Whether they have fallen for their own fearmongering or are simply playing the part, the fact is that the reality they live in does not comport to the one that actually exists.

I don’t think he actually believes these things. He must blatantly lie to support his handlers cause in his attempt to be relevant. He is just a terrible person.

No doubt . They just need to be a little more creative in how they phrase the questions . These people play word games every time things get tough .

Playing with the language, just a bit.

"They" as in his wife/family sold it last year. Wink

Kerry is another grifter. His wife may no longer own this jet, but I bet he still has the use of it, whenever he needs it.

Every time I hear or read something about Kerry's Purple Hearts I think of Frank Burns and his 2 Purple Hearts.
Probably fair to rate them as equals.

Kerry is the epitome of smug, slippery asshole from New England. Being a wealthy guy, who married into a financial dynasty, there's no shortage of corporations, LLCs, and trusts that he's tied to but, not directly named in ergo, ...who me? I've never personally owned a private jet.

He flip flops on the medal story several times. First he did, then he didn’t, then he tossed only his ribbons but kept his medals and then he didn’t toss his but those of two other soldiers.

John Kerry: People would ‘Feel Better’ about Russia’s War in Ukraine if Russia would ‘Make a Greater Effort to Reduce Emissions’
quote:
I believe that Russia has the ability to be able to make enormous changes if it really wanted to. I mean, if Russia has the ability to wage a war illegally and invade another country, they ought to be able to find the effort to be responsible in the climate issue. And unfortunately, because of the actions that Russia took in an unprovoked illegal war against another nation, we have not been engaged in discussions with Russia, sadly. I say sadly because it’s a loss for the world not to be able to have Russia acting constructively on this issue. But we need every country, including Russia.

Russia is one of the largest emitters in the world. If Russia wanted to show good faith, they could go out and announce what their reductions are going to be and make a greater effort to reduce emissions now. And maybe that would open up the door for people to feel better about what Russia is choosing to do at this point in time.

So if Russia makes progress in reducing their emissions, people may feel better about Russia being responsible for wholesale death and destruction on both sides? Got it.

I'm in the jet charter business. Rich people don't necessarily own jets. But they do fly on them, or my company wouldn't be in business.

We have a rule in this business that goes something like this; "Once you get used to flying private, you never want to go back."

Lots of rich people are selling their jets off for optics, finances, or management hassles. Trust me, they aren't flying commercial.

"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."
