Pipe SmokeriPhone problem: in landscape orientation, left half of screen is obscured – now fixed
Something has gone wrong with Safari on my iPhone. When it’s in landscape orientation, the left half of the screen is obscured by a panel that has three selections: Bookmarks, Reading List, and History. I’ve been trying to get rid of that f***ing panel for a half hour. I don’t see the f***ing panel in portrait orientation.
Tim Cook is a f***ing … Well, I’ll just say that he’s no Steve Jobs. I used to love my Apple stuff.

comet24When all else fails to try these:
-Close Safari
-Turn off iPhone and back on.
-Reset iPhone(not reset where you lose all data) Hold the side button and home button. On newer phones without a home button hold the side and volume up.

Pipe Smokerkkina: I did, but that just sets the f***ing panel to “Bookmarks”, one of the three selections.

kkinaThe open book should not be next to an eyeglass and a clock. Try to get it in a menu bar.

bcereussPut the phone in portrait mode and try the book icon.

I thank you! That worked. But the fix is so nonintutive that I probably won’t remember it the next time this failure happens. Sure wish Steve Jobs hadn’t died.
