I’m sure this point has been made before, but isn’t it instructive how the UK government disarmed the population asserting that same government is all the protection a subject needs? Then when the assertion fails, the response from the government is to further oppress to favor a politically preferred demographic. It’s all so corrupt. The better answer is ours. Not surprising, the newly-beheaded make a lousy constituency (except in certain locations in the US). I don't expect to hear many complaints from them about this policy announcement anyway. I almost cannot believe that the UK Govt. is blaming social media for the unrest vs. those who are actually doing the stabbing and slashing! "Almost" because I see the same pathology among many of my countrymen who should know better. The words of out forefathers regarding the armed citizen being the ultimate bulwark of freedom have never rung so true! | |||

Was not that long ago that England had the best military in the world and the Pound was the world's reserve currency. Excessive debt and involvement in foreign wars managed to lay the groundwork for their demise. They followed the pattern which has destroyed more nations/empires than miltary defeats.
