All in for the Scrub Bub! Cardiac is now my middle name, and I wish you the very best in health!

Take the message to heart and get well.

Well I'm home! It was a very wild ride, if I'd just thought it was back pain we wouldn't be having this conversation!

I was on call for the OR Sunday morning, so I got up to take a shower and went back to bed, but had trouble getting comfy with my new-found back pain. I sat up for a bit, decided that a cup of hot coffee and 2 tylenol would be the answer for the pain. Went back into the shower to get some heat on my back and my left arm dropped and felt non-existent. I sat down on the throne and dialed 911. While she was on the line I went and put some shorts and a t-shirt on, and unlocked the front door, because heart attack or not, I'm not paying for a new front door!

That was 0809, and by 1110 I was in the ICU with all my coworkers around me! Its good to have family! I saw a balloon pump at the end of the bed and immediately pulled up my gown to check for chest scars LOL. Luckily it was just in me to give my poor heart a rest.

Here are the before and after of my STEMI, two stents placed and I feel so much better (I didn't know I was sick).

Guys, keep an eye on your heart, at 59 I didn't have a care in the world regarding my heart. I do now! Thanks so much for the outpouring of prayers and thoughts!!! I'm convinced they all worked.

Good News...Here's to a speedy & uneventful recovery!

I must've been comforting to have a team of your coworkers (that you ALREADY know you can count on!) jump into action on your behalf.

This made me Smile because I've wondered about this exact same thing.
Glad you're on the mend.

It's always a joy to see the image of the coronary open up and the blood starts rushing though. Glad you're home and on the road to the "new normal". Cool

Well I'm home!

Excellent, there seems to be a lot of this going around, but it's probably just because I'm getting older. Uncle and friend just had near misses.

Heal well, get your strength back, and do whatever they tell (which I'm sure you would).

Sounds like it couldn’t have gone any better for you. Your training kept you from being in denial and if calling 911 didn’t save your life, it at least saved you from debilitation. Good for you; back at work in no time.

WOW! Glad you took the sensible route and got help. Looking at those cinies, you're a lucky guy.

Get well.

So glad you are better!

And a good reminder for me. Several times I have had to be talked IN to going to the ER. And so glad that the Gall bladder was to blame last time I thought my back was jacked up.
