I want a sedan! A car! Is that too much to ask? I have no use for a Truck or SUV. I won't buy one. From you or anyone else.

Give me 4 doors, a V6. An interior color other than that dogshit yellow you seem to adorn every sedan interior in.

I am a life long Ford customer. But you are walking away from me. Again. Yes, I am still pissed you killed the Crown Vic.

Am I all alone here? Regards 18DAI

I’m guessing this should be in what’s your deal.

No, you are not alone.

It's true that I miss the SUVs we drove for nearly 20 years, miss their bad weather capabilities which I could have used the last month or so.

But for the rest of the 11 months of the year, a sedan is my choice. A Chevy at the moment.

As to what I'll replace it with, I'm afraid we're stuck with Asian cars, and it's a damned good thing they have become so reliable. I can't imagine going back to my Italian, English, or Swedish cars.

Subaru Legacy is most likely my next car. Not a truck.

You can still get a Lincoln far as I know. Is that not a Ford. I know they are pretty sharp looking sedan.

The sedans are only being phased out over time. They are all still available for 2019, even the shitbox Fiesta, and V6 engines are available in the Taurus.

After our experience with Ford several years ago, if I mentioned getting a Ford my wife would swat me upside the head! And our son in law had an equally bad experience with them.

You may prefer a sedan over a SUV or truck, but the buying trends of the average Ford consumer show you are in the minority.

Even the police units are buying the Explorer over the Taurus by a sizable margin. Given they are built on the same subframe and lines, it makes business sense to concentrate on what the average consumer will purchase.

Sedans are still being made, just not by Ford.

I had a 4x4 pickup truck in the late 1980s. Most worthless vehicle I've ever owned. Never used it as a truck, and only during snow was the 4x4 helpful.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

I can 100% relate to not wanting a truck. Respectfully though, I cannot personally find anything about the Ford product line that would have appealed to me over the myriad of -- in my opinion -- vastly superior options.

I know people who won't own a truck because they think they are dumb and a big waste of money. Well, up until the time they need a truck for something. What do they do? Yup, they want to borrow mine!!

That is why Ford gives you the Lincoln MKZ.
I am the opposite of you and have zero desire for a sedan but the MKZ certainly would be on the short list.

Ford does not know their customer. Demand for the Ranger was so overwhelming and orders so much more than expected that they ok’d a bunch of overtime to keep up. People only asked for a midsize competitor to the Tacoma for YEARS.

I wasn’t happy when they announced they would stop making cars to focus on trucks and SUVs but they are going to make what sells.

I can see the point in many not wanting a truck for any number of reasons, among them weight, ride quality, MPG, handling with their live rear ends especially on bumpy roads, overall size, etc. Even if you have to occasionally haul something a very practical option is to go with a sedan or wagon and simply buy a utility trailer.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

Considering you can get the 3.0L Twin Turbo with AWD having 400hp and the SHO only had 365hp essentially you get better.
