Fox just announced that Krauthammer has advised them that he has a few weeks to live.

I used to respect the guy, really listen to what he had to say, but once Donald Trump gained popularity, he turned into just another Trump hater and his comments could no longer be trusted. He's been absent from Fox for 10 months, and that's the way it's going to remain.

I can't say that I am going to miss him.

Sorry to hear/read he is having the issue he is. I can not agree with him at all on the president.

Yeah, I was really disappointed to see him deride Trump too. He went the way of George Will, unfortunately.

I am sad to hear this news, though. I always had a lot of respect for his intellect and enjoyed his commentaries even when I disagreed. It's a real shame.

I liked him a lot. He bashed Obama when he was wrong and Trump when he was wrong too. That’s what honest guys do. I will miss him.

This is sad. I didn't agree with him on everything but he was one of the good guys. I will miss him and his commentary.

I have tremendous respect for what he accomplished in spite of what would have crushed so many people. I also appreciated his intellectual honesty, whether I agreed with him or not. His command of language and organized approach in his commentary were far above the capabilities of most other talking heads.

Has he ever had anything positive to say about candidate Trump and President Trump?

Well said. As a wordsmith, he could eloquently call out someone's actions or statements, without having to use pedestrian language that so many MSM heads have to rely on.

I've never really thought about if I knew I only had a few weeks to live. I hope I don't ever have to. My Dad died of a sudden heart attack without a prolonged illness. There's something to be said for not being sick for a long time and knowing you're dying.

He disappointed me. No big deal. After all, who am I? I think his opinions became destructive to the cause of individual liberty. The fewer of those the better. I believe there will come a day when he'll see the damage he was part of. I also think, because he has good in his heart, he will regret his part in it. For now, I'm satisfied he is quiet.

Yeah, I guess a lifetime of advocating personal responsibility, less and smaller government and anti communism should be ignored since he didn’t fellate our Dear Leader enough. Plus guy overcame paralysis to get an MD, wrote groundbreaking studies on depression that helped thousands. But fuck him, he don’t like Trump.

Yes he did. He praised Trump when Trump praised western values in Poland. https://www.realclearpolitics....augural_address.html

Her is “crazy” Krauthammer saying impeaching Trump is a terrible idea and the Dems are idiots.https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2017/08/04/krauthammer_removing_trump_from_office_would_be_a_catastrophic_mistake.html

Me too. I would like to think the advanced state of his illness affected him mentally and the anti-Trump rhetoric was not the real Charles Krauthammer that we came to know in the previous decades.

This will be a great loss for the country. While I didn't agree with every take he had, he is a brilliant mind and a wise man.

They read his very heart-felt letter on Fox at the Noon Hour. Love him/ Hate him, the letter was very heavy...

He broke his neck while studying Medicine at Harvard, diving into a swimming pool (#1 cause of Spinal Cord Injuries) ironically had his book to study at the time with his towel poolside, on.... the human spine.

I will miss his commentary and writing. While I disagreed with his take on Trump, he was a merciless, articulate, and consistent foe of Obama, and the Obama/Clinton brand of leftism and democratic socialism, who brought a brilliant vocabulary, carefully constructed argument, an no small bit of humor to his ordered conservatism.

As ilikefirearms noted, he was honest. Honest enough to admit when his ideological enemies did something smart, or something good. In that, he was somewhat unusual as a pundit, recognizing that consistency required that he advocate for a vision of America, rather than a party.

He wasn't a street fighter or a revolutionary, and the street fighter in Trump made him uncomfortable. Many of us here think that it is time to fight; time for a conservative revolution. He was not there yet, but his thinking and writing had a large impact on my own, and his words have made me a better conservative thinker.

I believe he truly loves America, and did his part to shape a better future.

Godspeed, Charles, I shall miss you.

Ditto. Watching him trash Trump on a nightly basis, with the vigor of Joy Behar, destroyed his credibility. I stopped watching him after the election.
