This controversy over what Butker said in his message to Catholic students at a private Catholic University is one of the dumbest in recent memory yet. The man expressed his absolute love, admiration, and appreciation for his own wife and her vocation as a homemaker, and the leftist blue-haired mob just lost their ever-loving, heathen minds.

There was a time when what he espouses was the norm in this nation. It was also a MUCH better time and there is no measurable metric which disproves that.

He is AWESOME. People need to understand what he said is the truth. The traditional family has been ignored, traditional values disparaged, and wholesome family values and family life impugned. This is a huge reason our country has gone to shit in the last decade or two.

The fact that he is being attacked so mercilessly by these mongrels on the internet means that he hit the nail directly on the head in his messaging.

Thankfully, Gracie Hunt, one of the Chiefs owners, supports Butker.

Imagine an athlete, let’s say a traditional Islamic man, giving an Islamic-centric speech at the invitation of an Islamic-centric school, while he was off the clock from his day job. And, for the delivery of such, he received a standing ovation.

Now imagine the blue hair brigade sending a petition to get him fired for it…

Constitutional religious rights aside for a moment, how do these people not see their own hypocrisy?

Also, the lefty message always implies that they are a majority and that public opinion is overwhelmingly on their side. It isn't at all true.
The majority of Christians today keep mostly to themselves, not wanting to be burned at the proverbial stake for being outspoken about their faith. To my perception, they are much more likely to be outspoken on single issues (right vs wrong). Males dominating female sports comes to mind.

That the nuns attacked him tells you a lot about the state of things. How very Maoist of them. They need to be disciplined, or the more rabid excommunicated.

I would have to research more, but it looks like what they said was that being a nun is not a lesser vocation than being a mother - which seems like something a nun would say.

That's not I how I read their statement. In any case, he never said motherhood and homemaker is THE most important vocation. He said it is ONE of the most important.

I saw the speech. All of the flak Butker has been receiving is because he was over the target. If you enjoyed his speech, you'd also probably enjoy Bishop Fulton Sheen.

Fulton Sheen predicted the current problems and the everything leading up to them. He stated his assessment on his TV broadcast. If not a prophet, definitely prophetic.
