Since we moved to Texas, the Wife and I are very Happy.
All the Texans we have met have Welcomed us.
Now that we have our Texas Driver's License and are property owners,
we are Happy Texans.
Can't get over the ease of firearms FREEDOM that we Texans have compared to Hawaii.
Wife is enjoying meeting and chatting with like minded women who discuss gun purses.
We have just over 10 acres and can shoot on it.
Our neighbor will be helping us set up our range.
I have assured him that I know the difference between a deer and a cow come deer season.
Oops, meant to post in Lounge, mods Please move to Lounge, Thank You.

I will concur. I cannot believe the generosity of 12131. I still have not had a chance to break in my p228.

A generous and knowledgeable member, indeed.
@12131-are/were you a member on Texas Hunting Forum? There was a member called "Korean Redneck", and I've always wondered if that was you. I haven't been there in years, but I went by Core-Lokt.

12131 blessed me with a beautiful P228 from his generous Karma last Independence Day. I had the pleasure of spending my 40th birthday at the range with my wife and daughters last Sunday. Out of the 6 pistols we brought my P228 that was star of the show and the only one my youngest will shoot now. She has great taste.

A truly wonderful and generous member.
Perhaps this should move to the lounge?

Congrats YogiBear! Even though 12131's gift is extremely generous, my congrats is for you finally getting out of Hawaii and getting settled in Texas. My wife and I will be joining you in January, whether we find our house or not.
Apply for your carry permit yet?

Where in Texas did you move to. 12131 is the king of P228's. Thread needs to be moved to the lounge. Congrats on your move and new gun.

Howdy,
Last year, I treated the Wife to a First Class RT, non stop from Hawaii to Dallas then Austin, where she has relatives.
Rented a full size SUV and drove around Hill Country.
Since she retired before our trip, it was an easy decision to move.
We fell in love with Texas Hill Country.
Made contact with a realtor who helped us with a lot of things.
We just closed on 10 acres+ in Fredericksburg. Enough to legally shoot on.
We have neighbors who shoot as we hear gunfire almost daily.
We have found deer tracks outside our back door.
Wife has a free hand in doing the house,
I have a small building for my man "cave" a short walk away.
Texas is a "can Do" state, unlike Hawaii where "can't DO" is the norm.
Yes, we Love Texas and it's people.
Wife and I commented on the Freedom of firearms ownership.
We see lots of Land and homes for Sale everywhere we drive.
Just a matter of how much you want to spend and where you want to live.

Just curious: Why did you post this in the "What's Your Deal!" section?

I wish to add my thank you to 12131 as well. I think he is a good guy and this was reinforced by his post in the recent thread where members were asked to post their favorite Bible passages. He posted several that were very relevant.

Well I have to speak up too on how generous 12131 is. He just gave me a beautiful BCM rifle. When I show it to people they can't believe it. I tell them you don't know the people on SF. I still can't thank him enough. Plus the other members that sent me emails wanting to send me parts and magazines and ammo. I'm so blessed.

I haven't personally benefited from 12131's generosity, but I've certainly observed his posts here in the past with growing awe. No question that repeated thanks are due him and others, like Dave Troung, who also continuously award gifts to members.

Yeah, 12131 rocks. He has been very nice to me. If everyone had half the heart he did, the world would be a much better place.
Let's see if we can make him blush.

This place is like no other places on the internet, as far as I'm concerned. It's like my online family.
Thank you, para, for making this all possible.
Btw, Opus Dei, although I'm Vietnamese Redneck, I won't mind the Korean Redneck title, since my wife is Korean. I love Korean food so much, she thinks I'm real Korean and fake Vietnamese.
oddball, my offer stands, whenever you escape from behind enemy line.

12131,
You sir, are an outstanding individual. I've no words to describe your generosity. I'm going to have to start my own thread to explain how giving you are. Stay tuned.
