SpinZonePlant Based Chocolate
What in the name of all that is sacred is this crap?
Isn’t all chocolate plant based? Does some chocolate company have a recipe for chocolate bars that starts out with "take 10 pounds of ground beef"?
I'm guessing people buy it or they wouldn’t be selling it.

smschulzLooks like I am

BigSwedeYeah, that's pretty dumb
I had a similar reaction when the wife had to have a bottle of the Rock's tequila. It says gluten free on the label. Gee, I didn't know anyone made tequila from wheat. Fuckin loser
"The cocoa plant, scientifically known as Theobroma cacao, is a small evergreen tree native to the tropical regions of the Americas. It is a member of the Malvaceae family and produces cocoa beans, which are the source of chocolate."
I'll stick with the OG plant based chocolate.

kkinaMy guess is that it refers to the milk if it's milk chocolate. Probably using something like oat milk.
But I agree- it's pretty dumb to call it just "plant-based chocolate." Plant-based milk chocolate would be better.

A candy vendor at a local venue (Crooked Can in Winter Garden) sells chocolate coated bacon strips. Best of both worlds.

HRKChocolate for those who are lactose intolerant, or have milk allergies, it's not some nefarious plot to force engineered chocolate by RFK

Although plant based as a marketing term is a bit strange in that the product comes from a plant...
Perhaps be Dairy free Chocolate

That was my guess too, from the OP alone, without reading further into it.

PASigYou have to understand that "Plant Based" is a super hot marketing term right now just like other terms used to be.
I had to laugh at the "plant based" margarine I saw in the store. Isn't margarine made with vegetable oil and therefore always plant based? Turns out they do put milk or milk solids or other forms of dairy in some brands of margarine.

Except SG from those in a vegetative state? Don't worry, they don't seem to be too hard to find.

SW_SigMy oldest daughter did the first two years of her PhD working with chocolate and the other three years with wine. It will be interesting to hear her thoughts on this.
Her response "Chocolate is already a plant. The just replaced the milk part of milk chocolate with an alternative milk."

SpinZoneLooking around some, apparently it is targeting the vegan crowd.

Yeah the non-dairy milk is what it seems to be and your suggested title of it is better.
