I use alkaline 9v for my smoke detectors only.


Don't. drink & drive, don't even putt.

I never heard of Eneloop's until this thread. My wife has a bunch of battery-powered candles that are constantly consuming C and D cells. The Eneloops have adaptors that are basically C and D cell shells that you insert their rechargeable AA's into. "BUY NOW", problem solved, thanks fellas!
