What a generous karma! Please count me in.

My father was a WWII veteran, Navy. After the war ended he was stationed in SF and used to tell us stories about decommissioning LSTs (and rather than cataloging Garands and carbines throwing them overboard). He seldom discussed his service in the Pacific.

Please don’t enter me as I didn’t serve. But my dad did, U.S. Army WWII ETO 1942-1945. Started in the Signal Corps but ended his tour at Bastogne with the 953rd FA BN.

1914-1967

I’ve tried to reconstruct his service records but the 1973 fire has thwarted me.
