Need to hire a lawyer in the Oakland/Bay area for a school/workplace discrimination lawsuit for my wife.

Anybody have any leads? We're ready to dump the one we've been working with.

Thanks!

You might contact Michel Lawyers in Southern California - while employment law is one of their areas, I don't know if they have anyone up in your area. If they don't, they will be able to recommend someone.

This is one of the top 2nd Amendment firms, among other practices, in the state.

If she's a school employee the teacher Union will have a referral list.

It's actually against a school she attended in the bay area. She was forced to leave the program because she voluntarily came to the school saying she had an alcohol problem. She completed a rehabilitation program, met all the requirements and then they wouldn't let her back in. She was top of her class and nothing bad ever happened during school or clinicals.

We found a lawyer that was eager to take this on, even on contingency but his caseload is so high, we're getting frustrated. We haven't signed anything with him so we thought we'd look elsewhere.

Is it a public school?

You need a lawyer familiar with educational institutions, not an employment lawyer.

I have no help for you in the Bay Area.
