SigM4Grilling/Cooking Apron recommedations
Anybody have a good suggestion for an apron to be used when I grill and/or cook? I've realized that most of the stains on my clothes not attributable to kids (which is a small percentage, but still) come either from grilling or cooking things that like to splatter. Looking to mitigate this with a decent apron, hopefully with some pockets. Would prefer that it not trap heat in as well, so material will be a consideration. Addtionally, I'm not a small guy so something in the XL category will be a must.
Thanks for your suggestions/thoughts.

lastmanstandingI've had more than several cheap ones. Basically disposable. Ran into a Creekstone Farms rep at my local food service supply warehouse. I was picking up a case of Creekstone Farms loin back ribs and a case of briskets. He comped
this apron and a hat. The apron is awesome.

tatortoddI wouldn't want leather or another material you can't throw in the washing machine.
If I were buying an apron for the grill it'd be
this $23 woodlands camo one from Amazon:

Awesome, this is exactly what I was looking for! Found the company that makes these and ordered an un-branded one.

TheFrontRangeI found this one a little while back online; same issue with assorted spills and stains while cooking both indoors and out.
Still allows access to the Glock or whatever gat is aboard haha…

Black92LXSee you found one but if it does not hold up or others are still looking, Filson makes a mighty fine apron.

flashguyAt first I was wondering why you'd want to grill or cook an apron, but then I saw what the thread was about. No suggestion--I don't grill or cook.

It will probably wear out in under a year like all their crap does anymore.
Damn, shame used to be some of the best stuff out there.

BeancookerWhen I finally decide to invest in an apron, it will be one from S&R.

I've seen his, can't imagine wearing something like that while grilling/cooking, especially in the summer. Looks very nice though.

BeancookerThe neck/back strap is why I like S&R. The cross back is super comfy. I also like clasps big enough they are easy to use. Plus I can wash it without the straps, just the sheet of apron fabric. That makes washing way easier.

Might come in handy if you decide to do some welding in between.
