There was a man named Tom Odd. He grew up hating his last name , everyone from when he was 10 years old to 88 years old teased and made jokes about him and his name.

He never married , because he did not want to bestow that cruel last name on a wife.

He drew up his last will and testament with a lawyer when he saw his last days were fast approaching. One thing he instructed the lawyer , funeral home and momument comapny to do, was to not put his last name on his headstone.

After he passed away, all the correct things were done as instructed, most especially, the headstone.

People would walk in the graveyard, and when encountering his headstone remark " Isn't that Odd? "
