Quick update, package arrived hours after tracking showed delivered. It was an Amazon order shipped by 3rd party.

I got a text notification from FedEx that I had a delivery today. Looked around and there is nothing here. Been home sitting by the front door. No trucks today.

So I log on to my account and find full tracking for an 8 lb box from Zoro Tool. I don't think I've every ordered nor heard of Zoro tool but it's a legit company.

This is strange. Any idea?

Probably at your neighbors house. Happens to me all the time. Mostly USPS not FedEx.

Yep, I had one from UPS like that a few weeks ago.

They were some primers I ordered for a computer illiterate friend.

Fortunately, the neighbor who got them brought them to my house within minutes of getting the box.

UPS advised me a few days ago that I had an impending delivery from Amazon. I didn't remember having ordered anything there. It was delivered yesterday and was a new Jitterbug flip phone. I haven't unboxed it, but still don't recall having ordered one. My old flip phone has a bad microphone and I did get a new flip phone (not a Jitterbug). Maybe I did order one--I'm getting old and could have forgotten it.

There is a common text scam to get you to click a link or call a phone number.

I get a lot of them. Usually Amazon is spelled with a zero or the grammar is off.

If so, I would access it another way and change the password.

When I lived in Can-eh-duh, FedEx routinely delivered stuff to the dyslexic version of my address and vice versa. When I received one for my neighbor, I quickly delivered it rain, snow, or shine. It had nothing to do with her being an absolute babe who seemingly only wore yoga clothes.

If it is your driveway stuff legitimate order, fine. If not, be wary this could be a very common "brushing" scam.

Brushing is just a way for an unscrupulous Amazon seller to post a fake positive review of their product. They create a false account, then order one of their own products. In order to post a "verified purchase review", they have it shipped to a real address, yours.

You do get a free product as you're legally allowed to keep it, but remember your privacy is somewhat compromised. Filing a complaint with Amazon if you're so inclined helps to restrict this kind of activity.

Happens to me a couple times a week. I make a claim right away if its expensive, and the next day if it isn't. I've noticed once you declare them stolen they tend to show up pretty quick.

Worst offenders for us are the USPS.

Went to dinner and came home and package was here. So FedEx maybe scanned the wrong package in the truck on his route? Only thing I can think of. A bit annoyed that the response from the seller (not shipped and sold by Amazon, which I missed when ordering) was that it was delivered at 1:17.

This pissed me off because I explained to them that I was literally in my front yard at this time and no FedEx came by.

Anyhow all is well and I am smart enough not to log on from a link in a text or email. What through me off here was it wasn't coming from Amazon on the tracking and the item wasn't scheduled for delivery on Amazon until like Tuesday. So I wasn't expecting it, it was from some company I never heard of and it didn't arrive as tracking on FedEx showed. It seemed strange but all is well.

Mine told me he scans them as delivered and then will proceed to get to the actual delivery some time over the next 3-5 business days.

I told have fun with all the theft claims he'll have to answer.

We seriously need to completely defund the USPS and let them fail.

There are two entrance doors to the busy post office. One has been broken for weeks. I bet they are hoping the other door breaks so they can close.

No, I was dropping the hint that the OP needs to show a little skin to get faster follow-up neighbor re-delivery. Big Grin

Not true! They scan "out for delivery", but not "delivered"!

Jeez! Some of you guys should get a life and use some common sense. This thread was about FedEx not your fantasies about the USPS. This shit gets fucking annoying. There is no way that USPS employees scan delivered and then deliver in the next three to five days. That's just a lie. I would like to see someone prove this bullshit claim.
