RawnyGift ideas for grads
Looks like no ceremony for the Class of '20 in my neck of the woods.

At least I can get her a gift. If this was last year, I would consider a cruise, but who would want to sail on the "Corona Princess" this year?
I'm thinking a nice pen with engraving. Throw out some ideas.

LS1 GTOA framed bottle of Corona with a "2020" plaque?
And a nice pen.

IntrepidTravelerI always get a proof coin from the US Mint. Usually silver.
I've had to explain to some it's actually a collectible and not just worth a buck!
Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.

ZSMICHAELHigh school or College?? A new car never goes out of style. Another option is jewelry, IF you know what she likes.

PowerSurgeMy nephew graduates from college next month. He’s getting a pistol. How’s that for an idea?

AeteoclesI don't have much today from high school that I would still consider sentimental or valuable, except for the friends I've made, some fond memories, my yearbooks, and a couple stacks of photos.
A trip would be memorable, but COVID.
I think virtual class or lesson would be better. Find her a masterclass on smoking bbq (Adam Franklin), taking travel photos, portrait photography, a language, baking bread, etc. Those will last much longer.

College grad gift for a young lady I'm seeing.
She's an accounting major and quite sensible with money. She has a reliable car, and it's a little too soon for me to give her something that extravagant.
We haven't talked about guns yet, or knives for that matter.

Skins2881I bet Davey T. can make something nice for her that is timeless, or maybe something that keeps time.

craglawnmanorOK. I'm laughing that Skins is referring to Dave Truong now as Davey T. Can we all get rapper names??

As for graduation gifts, our fourth child (third daughter) is graduating from college this Spring. I did buy her a new laptop earlier this year (which has helped a good deal with her now VIRTUAL job search, including multiple online job interviews- I can't imagine, just don't know what to offer with advice).
As for our senior in high school (our youngest of six kids, and fourth daughter), we'll also give her a laptop.
As for our fifth kid (younger son, probably smartest of all six, and definitely the biggest smart-ass of all six), he'll definitely get

Because he's a smart-ass, and he's enjoyed his time away from the liberals he's going to school with at University of Dayton...
