It's got a crack in the top flat surface that butts up against the siding and water coming off the roof is seeping through the crack. I want to replace it instead of caulking the crack. Thanks in advance.

Vinyl fascia board?? May be hard to match exact color depending on age. Home Depot carries this stuff.

Smooth lined fascia cover, looks to be 8" (actual 7-1/4"). Also available in 10" (9-1/4" actual) if my eyeballs are wrong. You can get it in aluminum, too.

Thanks for the answer. I am still not finding it. I am finding fascia cover but none with this cross section:

I am not one for diagrams. I suspect you will need to cut the piece to size.

Are you sure it is vinyl? It looks like it may be "custom" bent aluminum fascia trim.

I'll have to take another look. I was certain it was vinyl but it may, indeed, be aluminum.

It does look to be the vinyl fascia to me. It appears to be the same as the pieces on the rake mold. You will probably have to locate those from a vinyl supplier which will deal in the more specialty trim pieces. Home Depot & Lowes are only going to have very basic items.

Another option would be to find someone who can cover that piece with aluminum. Anyone who installs vinyl siding should have a brake, and should be able to make it for you.

Thanks. Then I will caulk it until I get it replaced.

Looks to be vinyl, as it has drainage holes.

Ok. Was it heated and bent to make the profile? It could be a supply house item or a custom order item.

Do you know who built the house or did the work?

There may be a name brand and part number on the back side of the broken piece that you can look up too.

Do not use calk. Use a strip of good tape that matches the color of the vinyl
