Did you know there is a lifetime 50% Military/Veteran discount available?

I did not know this until last night but was able to cancel my own Base plan with ads and 2 streams and get the ad free Premium version with 4 streams for basically the same price as the Base.

To verify they want the year and month of discharge as listed on your DD-214 so you will need that:

Paramount+ 50% Military Discount

So how much is the add free version with the Vet discount, please?

I LOVE Star Trek but absolutely loathe the ads (a member of my household gets Paramount with his employment, but it has ads). . .

$6.99

Regular ad-free plan price is $13.99

I don’t know if it’s cheaper, but Paramount+ is included as a perk when one signs up for Walmart+. You may get 2 services for the price of one? In addition, PBR just signed with Paramount+ to air the bull riding competitions.

Thanks for the info!

I’m gonna sign up for that.

I just don’t have the patience for being forced to sit through non-skipable ads.

Walmart + seems to be $49 a year, so there’s that.

Took way more time than it should have. Scanning document to prove Veteran status. Jumping through the hoops to set up the Paramount+ account. Creating a virtual credit card for payment. Enabling Paramount+ on the LG smart TV, with easy to find shortcut for my wife (I won't be watching it, it's for her). Then found the free seven day trial, so enrolled with that. Set a reminder for six days, to verify whether wife wants to keep the service or cancel after the free trial. A lot of steps, and I'll probably never watch it. Glad I'm retired and have time to do this stuff.

They definitely don't make it easy.

Not sure why all you guys had such a hard time with this?

-I verified and had a discount code in like 1 minute

-Signed up for a new account using an alternate email address, not the one associated with the current account.

-Once new account was set and running on my Roku TV I went into my settings on old account and canceled that subscription.

Maybe 5 minutes.

Good information. Reading the fine print in that link it looks like an outfit called "SheerID" will verify the information. Hmm...doesn't sound like you guys needed to deal with them?

*** THIS IS AN OLD THREAD ***

Finally got around to signing up today and it was quick & easy. "SheerID" must already have a veterans database established since verification happened instantly. They just asked for name, address, DOB and Separation Date as per the DD-214. No SSN, copies of DD-214, ID card, or other really sensitive info was requested.

I got my verification in under 5 seconds. I have the Walmart plan so I need to do the math and see what is best.
