That may be true but I had never even heard of a bunch of products they reviewed. Without their review I wouldn’t have even known what was out there.

Now I will admit occasionally they would review knives and I noticed a certain lack of knowledge. So sure, when they were discussing other things it was probably just as bad. I know fuck all about carabiners and climbing ropes though so it all seemed interesting to me. lol.

Still, I enjoyed the articles. Krakaeur was a good example. I don’t think he’s a great author at book length. Have him write a magazine article and I think he was great. Didn’t he write the articles first and then the books? I could have that backwards but I don’t think so.
